Art in design, what does it mean? There is a strong artistic element in design that enables the designer to communicate an idea that influences all of us to aesthetically appreciate and admire. Just as there is art in design, there is also an element of design in art.

The different areas of design concepts vary depending on the desire of the person commissioning a design work or the designer's actual intention of what his/her vision and intention should be. Looking at design concepts from different perspectives, especially the end products, even we the audience and admirers can actually interpret what we are  witnessing in different and unique ways.

To mention just a few areas of design and some art amongst which are Industrial design, Interior design, Fashion design, Garden design and so on and so forth. A lot of these jobs will start with a sketch and drawings that guide the designer and enables him to plot out all elements from his ideas that will eventually give him a starting point.

In the art world, the artist engineer, he that works with anything to produce his art. A lot of the metal and steel structure that are produced for aesthetic and decorative purposes are made mostly by these artist engineers.

Then we have some art posters by Lytinski which are in a class of their own. There is also Alex Rodshenko's photo montage posters which also seem to be in a class of their own, one of which is a work entitled The frozen arena.

Finally in architecture,where there is a combination of art and design working together in mutual harmony within the architects mind, and if he is good in art and design, his end product or the final structure never disappoints. In fact some structure are awesome and inspiring to we the admirers of such works.

For now, let us thank all artists and designers who bring us great and inspiring works of art and design that add colour and excitement into our lives.
